Virginia High School Basketball - Carroll County trounces Alleghany

The Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) basketball crushed the visiting Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA), 64-21 in Friday's league test.
The Cavaliers (13-1) will now prepare for their test against Floyd County (Floyd, VA). The Buffaloes go into the Three Rivers test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Floyd County walloped Glenvar (Salem, VA), 70-40, in a league test.
The Mountaineers now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to James River for a Three Rivers test on Monday, January 16. Alleghany will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 42-26 league win over Radford (Radford, VA). The Knights record now stands at 9-4.
