Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) and the host Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA), saw Carroll County's basketball squad wallop Alleghany by a tally of 55-25.

With the victory, Carroll County improves its record to 19-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to battle the Buffaloes in a Three Rivers contest on Friday, February 3. The Buffaloes come into the contest with a record of 16-4. Floyd County won 64-44 in their recent league contest against Glenvar (Salem, VA)

The Mountaineers (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against James River (Buchanan, VA). The Knights come into the Three Rivers contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, James River triumphed over Radford (Radford, VA), 65-24, in a league contest.
