Belfast Lions (Belfast, ME) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mount View Mustangs (Thorndike, ME), 34-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Belfast upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Lions host Waterville (Waterville, ME) to clash with the Panthers in a B North bout on Monday, January 16. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Waterville lost 65-27 in their recent league bout against Hermon (Hermon, ME)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME) in a B North bout, on Monday, January 16. Mount View will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Black Raiders go into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 65-23 league loss to Belfast (Belfast, ME).
