In Friday's league outing, the Boys Ranch Roughriders (Boys Ranch, TX) basketball squad beat the host Bovina Mustangs (Bovina, TX), by a count of 43-29.

The Roughriders (5-10) will now prepare for their outing against Farwell (Farwell, TX). The Steers go into the 2A Region I District 3 outing with a 22-4 record. In their last outing, Farwell defeated Highland Park (Amarillo, TX), 65-24, in a league outing.

The Mustangs now hold a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Vega for a 2A Region I District 3 outing on Tuesday, January 17. Bovina will clash with a Longhorns squad coming off a 67-31 league loss to Panhandle (Panhandle, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 5-11.
