North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA), 64-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Polk upgrades its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Carroll (Carroll, IA) to play the Tigers in a Raccoon River bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 6-8. Carroll won 44-43 in their recent league bout against Gilbert (Gilbert, IA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Norwalk Warriors (Norwalk, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Carlisle will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 52-46 league loss to Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, IA).
