The North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) basketball knocked off the visiting Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA), 73-63 in Friday's league test.
The Comets (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Carroll (Carroll, IA). The Tigers go into the Raccoon River test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Carroll went down by Gilbert (Gilbert, IA), 67-33, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Creston for a non-league test on Monday, December 5. Carlisle will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 68-47 non-league loss to Nodaway Valley (Greenfield, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 0-3.
