The Clare Pioneers basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Harrison Hornets to 22 in the Pioneers league triumph on Friday.
The Pioneers now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Big Rapids for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Clare will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 52-11 league win over Chippewa Hills (Remus, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 9-1.
The Hornets (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Calvary Baptist Academy (Midland, MI). The Kings enter the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Calvary Baptist Academy triumphed over Au Gres-Sims (Au Gres, MI), 55-20, in a non-league contest.
