Clare Pioneers (Clare, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Harrison Hornets (Harrison, MI), 61-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Clare upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Ogemaw Heights (West Branch, MI) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 1. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 2-18.

Next up, the Hornets face the Pinconning Spartans (Pinconning, MI) in a non-league game, on Monday, February 27. Harrison will attempt to move on its 3-17 season record. The Spartans enter the game with a 0-21 record after their 53-18 league loss to Shepherd (Shepherd, MI).
