Clarke County Eagles (Berryville, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Luray Bulldogs (Luray, VA), 44-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Clarke County upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Strasburg (Strasburg, VA) to play the Rams in a Bull Run bout on Saturday, January 14. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 11-2. Strasburg lost 53-44 in their recent league bout against Central Woodstock (Woodstock, VA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Stuarts Draft Cougars (Stuarts Draft, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Luray will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 35-27 league win over Staunton (Staunton, VA).
