Jefferson Eagles (Jefferson, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Clinton Cougars (Clinton, WI), 62-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Eagles travel to McFarland (McFarland, WI) to clash with the Spartans in a Rock Valley bout on Thursday, January 19. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 14-2. McFarland won 82-44 in their recent league bout against Whitewater (Whitewater, WI)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Marshall Cardinals (Marshall, WI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Clinton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 46-41 league win over Belleville (Belleville, WI).
