The Worth County Rams (Sylvester, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Cook Hornets (Adel, GA), 50-39 in Friday's league test.
The Rams (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA). The Purple Hurricane go into the AA Region 1 test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Fitzgerald went down by Dodge County (Eastman, GA), 73-34, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Jeff Davis for a AA Region 1 test on Saturday, January 14. Cook will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 72-11 non-league loss to Pierce County (Blackshear, GA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-13.
