Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA), 70-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Floyd County upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a Three Rivers bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Carroll County won 64-21 in their recent league bout against Alleghany (Covington, VA)

Next up, the Highlanders play the Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Glenvar will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 2-13 record after their 64-57 league loss to Northside (Roanoke, VA).
