The Nacogdoches Dragons basketball team (Nacogdoches, TX), was routed 61-31 in Friday's league battle with the host Huntsville Hornets (Huntsville, TX)

The Hornets now sport a 8-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dayton for a 5A Region II District 16 battle on Tuesday, January 17. Huntsville will battle a Broncos team coming off a 45-36 league loss to Lufkin (Lufkin, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 5-14.

The Dragons (12-12) will now prepare for their battle against Porter (Porter, TX). The Spartans come into the 5A Region II District 16 battle with a 8-11 record. In their last battle, Porter was routed by Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX), 45-43, in a league battle.
