The Pine Eagle Spartans basketball team (Halfway, OR), was toppled 37-26 in Friday's league battle with the host Joseph Eagles (Joseph, OR)
The Eagles now possess a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cove for a 1A Old Oregon battle on Saturday, January 14. Joseph will confront a Leopards team coming off a 50-30 league loss to Powder Valley (North Powder, OR). The Leopards record now stands at 3-9.
The Spartans (0-13) will now prepare for their battle against Wallowa (Wallowa, OR). The Cougars come into the 1A Old Oregon battle with a 2-7 record. In their last battle, Wallowa was toppled by Imbler (Imbler, OR), 41-39, in a league battle.
