The Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR) basketball nipped the visiting Joseph Eagles (Joseph, OR), 37-30 in Saturday's league test.
The Spartans (1-17) will now prepare for their test against Wallowa (Wallowa, OR). The Cougars go into the 1A Old Oregon test with a 6-9 record.
The Eagles now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Cove for a 1A Old Oregon test on Friday, February 3.
