The Shades Valley Mounties basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting Mountain Brook Spartans to 49 in the Mounties league victory on Friday.

The Mounties now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cornerstone for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Shades Valley will battle a Eagles team coming off a 44-36 non-league win over Gardendale (Gardendale, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 14-6.

The Spartans (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pell City (Pell City, AL). The Panthers come into the 6A Area 10 contest with a 18-6 record. In their last contest, Pell City prevailed over Springville (Springville, AL), 50-48, in a non-league contest.
