Louisiana High School Basketball - Westminster Academy tipped by St. Edmund

The St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Westminster Academy Crusaders to 55 in the Fighting Blue Jays league triumph on Friday.
The Fighting Blue Jays now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Central for a 1A District 6 contest on Tuesday, January 17. St. Edmund will meet a Hurricanes team coming off a 55-53 non-league win over Comeaux (Lafayette, LA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 2-6.
The Crusaders (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against False River (New Roads, LA). The Gators enter the 1A District 6 contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, False River was nudged by Maurepas (Maurepas, LA), 44-20, in a non-league contest.
