The Westminster Academy Crusaders basketball team (Opelousas, LA), was nudged 39-36 in Friday's league battle with the host St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA)
The Fighting Blue Jays now possess a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sacred Heart for a 1A District 6 battle on Tuesday, February 7. St. Edmund will confront a Trojans team coming off a 53-42 non-league loss to Tioga (Tioga, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 14-7.
The Crusaders (11-5) will now prepare for their battle against Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA). The Vikings come into the 1A District 6 battle with a 3-12 record.
