In Friday's league outing, the Wetumpka Indians (Wetumpka, AL) basketball squad beat the host Stanhope Elmore Mustangs (Millbrook, AL), by a margin of 56-44.
The Indians (10-10) will now prepare for their outing against Lanier (Montgomery, AL). The Poets go into the 6A Area 3 outing with a 1-12 record. In their last outing, Lanier was beaten by Wetumpka (Wetumpka, AL), 60-18, in a league outing.
The Mustangs now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Wetumpka for a 6A Area 3 outing on Saturday, January 21.
