Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA), 33-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Albemarle upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Patriots travel to Louisa County (Mineral, VA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Louisa County won 31-21 in their recent non-league bout against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Western Albemarle will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Flying Flucos go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 31-21 non-league loss to Louisa County (Mineral, VA).
