North Carolina High School Basketball - Central Davidson edges Montgomery Central

The Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC) basketball nipped the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), 50-44 in Friday's league test.

The Spartans (10-3) will now prepare for their test against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC). The Grizzlies go into the test with a 11-2 record. In their last test, Oak Grove got by Ledford (Thomasville, NC), 58-36, in a non-league test.

The Timberwolves now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Asheboro for a non-league test on Friday, January 20. Montgomery Central will encounter a Blue Comets squad coming off a 69-37 non-league win over North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Blue Comets record now stands at 10-6.
