In Friday's league battle, the host Mira Costa Mustangs soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Santa Monica Vikings.
The Mustangs (15-3) will now prepare for their battle against Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, CA). The Sea Hawks go into the Bay battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Redondo Union nipped Peninsula (Rolling Hills Estates, CA), 1-0, in a league battle.
The Vikings (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Culver City (Culver City, CA). The Centaurs go into the Bay battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, Culver City was nudged by Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes Estates, CA), 6-0, in a league battle.
