Oglesby Tigers (Oglesby, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Aquilla Cougars (Aquilla, TX), 74-57 in a league bout.
With the victory, Oglesby upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Jonesboro (Jonesboro, TX) to play the Eagles in a 1A Region IV District 25 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 6-6. Jonesboro lost 59-54 in their recent league bout against Abbott (Abbott, TX)
Next up, the Cougars play the Cranfills Gap Lions (Cranfills Gap, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Aquilla will attempt to upgrade on its 9-15 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 41-33 league win over Gholson (Waco, TX).
