Oglesby Tigers (Oglesby, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Aquilla Cougars (Aquilla, TX), 48-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Oglesby upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Jonesboro (Jonesboro, TX) to play the Eagles in a 1A Region IV District 25 bout on Friday, February 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-8. Jonesboro lost 53-41 in their recent league bout against Abbott (Abbott, TX)

Next up, the Cougars play the Cranfills Gap Lions (Cranfills Gap, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 25 bout, on Friday, February 9. Aquilla will attempt to upgrade on its 12-18 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 48-46 league loss to Gholson (Waco, TX).
