Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bloomsburg Panthers (Bloomsburg, PA), 50-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Hughesville upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Spartans travel to Mount Carmel (Mount Carmel, PA) to play the RED TORNADOES in a Heartland III bout on Wednesday, January 17. The RED TORNADOES go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Mount Carmel won 58-46 in their recent league bout against Bloomsburg (Bloomsburg, PA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES (Mount Carmel, PA) in a Heartland III bout, on Monday, January 15. Bloomsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The RED TORNADOES go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 72-56 league loss to Loyalsock Township (Williamsport, PA).
