The Genoa Area Comets (Genoa, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Lake Flyers (Millbury, OH), 75-61 in Saturday's league test.

The Comets (9-3) will now prepare for their test against Margaretta (Castalia, OH). The Polar Bears go into the non-league test with a 10-1 record. In their last test, Margaretta notched a victory over St. Mary Central Catholic (Sandusky, OH), 65-38, in a non-league test.

The Flyers now own a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Otsego for a Northern Buckeye test on Friday, January 19. Lake will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 42-40 non-league win over Elmwood (Bloomdale, OH). The Knights record now stands at 6-5.
