The Lenoir City Panthers basketball team (Lenoir City, TN), dropped 68-48 in Saturday's league battle with the host Sequoyah Chiefs (Madisonville, TN)
The Chiefs now possess a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South-Doyle for a 3A District 5 battle on Tuesday, January 16. Sequoyah will confront a Cherokees team coming off a 70-63 league loss to Loudon (Loudon, TN). The Cherokees record now stands at 10-8.
The Panthers (3-12) will now prepare for their battle against Heritage (Maryville, TN). The Mountaineers come into the 3A District 5 battle with a 10-10 record. In their last battle, Heritage beat Sequoyah (Madisonville, TN), 53-48, in a league battle.
