The Lenoir City Panthers basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Sequoyah Chiefs to 44 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Heritage for a 3A District 5 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Lenoir City will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 62-55 non-league loss to Sevier County (Sevierville, TN). The Mountaineers record now stands at 13-12.
The Chiefs (11-11) will now prepare for their contest against McMinn County (Athens, TN). The Cherokees enter the non-league contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, McMinn County ran past Walker Valley (Cleveland, TN), 75-69, in a league contest.
