The Loyalsock Township Lancers basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES to 56 in the Lancers league triumph on Saturday.

With the win, Loyalsock Township upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Lancers host Mifflinburg (Mifflinburg, PA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Mifflinburg lost 59-53 in their recent non-league bout against Montoursville (Montoursville, PA)

Next up, the RED TORNADOES play the Bloomsburg Panthers (Bloomsburg, PA) in a Heartland III bout, on Monday, January 15. Mount Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 50-24 league loss to Hughesville (Hughesville, PA).
