The Lake Hornets (Lake, MS) basketball knocked off the visiting Scott Central Rebels (Forest, MS), 50-42 in Saturday's league test.
The Hornets (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Newton (Newton, MS). The Tigers go into the 2A Region 5 test with a 15-4 record. In their last test, Newton went down by Quitman (Quitman, MS), 58-43, in a non-league test.
The Rebels now own a 12-9 record. They play next when they host Lake for a 2A Region 5 test on Friday, January 19.
