The Lake Hornets basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Scott Central Rebels to 32 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newton for a 2A Region 5 contest on Monday, January 22. Lake will meet a Tigers team coming off a 49-44 league loss to Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 15-5.

The Rebels (12-10) will now prepare for their contest against Clarkdale (Meridian, MS). The Bulldogs enter the 2A Region 5 contest with a 2-17 record. In their last contest, Clarkdale was defeated by Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS), 66-11, in a non-league contest.
