Vergennes Commodores (Vergennes, VT) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Middlebury Tigers (Middlebury, VT), 35-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Vergennes upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Commodores host Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT) to play the Eagles in a Lake bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Mt. Abraham lost 57-46 in their recent non-league bout against Enosburg Falls (Enosburg Falls, VT)

Next up, the Tigers play the Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds (Swanton, VT) in a Lake bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Middlebury will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
