Powell Panthers (Powell, WY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Worland Warriors (Worland, WY), 42-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Powell upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Hot Springs County (Thermopolis, WY) to play the Bobcats in a 3A Northwest bout on Friday, January 19. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 3-7. Hot Springs County lost 74-43 in their recent non-league bout against Powell (Powell, WY)

Next up, the Warriors play the Lovell Bulldogs (Lovell, WY) in a 3A Northwest bout, on Friday, January 19. Worland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 58-31 non-league win over Rocky Mountain (Cowley, WY).
