Powell Panthers (Powell, WY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Worland Warriors (Worland, WY), 44-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Powell upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Buffalo (Buffalo, WY) to play the Bison in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Bison come into the bout with a record of 13-1. Buffalo won 72-39 in their recent non-league bout against Torrington (Torrington, WY)

Next up, the Warriors play the Lovell Bulldogs (Lovell, WY) in a 3A Northwest bout, on Saturday, February 10. Worland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 34-32 league loss to Hot Springs County (Thermopolis, WY).
