The Elmore County Panthers basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Jemison Panthers to 61 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Panthers now have a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Valley for a 5A Area 7 game on Thursday, January 16. Elmore County will confront a Rams team coming off a 78-69 league win over Beauregard (Opelika, AL). The Rams record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, Jemison falls to 13-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Montevallo (Montevallo, AL) to confront the Bulldogs in a 5A Area 5 game on Thursday, January 16. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 11-10. Montevallo lost 46-40 in their recent league game against Selma (Selma, AL)
