Tattnall County Warriors (Reidsville, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA), 65-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Tattnall County upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Warriors host Toombs County (Lyons, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 15. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-12. Toombs County lost 62-52 in their recent league bout against Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA)

Next up, the Pirates play the Jeff Davis Yellowjackets (Hazlehurst, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 15. Appling County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 62-52 league win over Toombs County (Lyons, GA).
