In Friday's league battle, the visiting Buena Vista Longhorns basketball team scored a decisive 53-30 victory over the Grandfalls-Royalty Cowboys.
The Longhorns now possess a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sanderson for a 1A Region II District 10 battle on Tuesday, January 18. Buena Vista will confront a Eagles team coming off a 75-39 league loss to Rankin (Rankin, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-5.
The Cowboys (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Comstock (Comstock, TX). The Panthers come into the 1A Region II District 10 battle with a 1-6 record.
