The Flour Bluff Hornets (Corpus Christi, TX) basketball crushed the host Gregory-Portland Wildcats (Portland, TX), 69-44 in Friday's league test.
The Hornets (15-9) will now prepare for their test against Victoria East (Victoria, TX). The Titans go into the 5A Region IV District 29 test with a 6-13 record. In their last test, Victoria East was trounced by Victoria West (Victoria, TX), 67-56, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 11-16 record. They play next when they travel to Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 29 test on Tuesday, January 18. Gregory-Portland will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 82-47 league win over Ray (Corpus Christi, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 21-6.
