New Mexico High School Basketball - Animas thwarts Reserve

The Animas Panthers (Animas, NM) basketball knocked off the visiting Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM), 55-36 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Panthers (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM). The Mavericks go into the non-league test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Lordsburg notched a victory over Cobre (Bayard, NM), 56-30, in a non-league test.
The Mountaineers now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Magdalena for a A District 2 test on Thursday, January 19. Reserve will encounter a Steers squad coming off a 54-50 non-league loss to Capitan (Capitan, NM). The Steers record now stands at 11-6.
