In Saturday's non-league outing, the Clarke County Bulldogs (Grove Hill, AL) basketball squad edged the visiting Shields Panthers (Beatrice, AL), by a margin of 50-47.
The Bulldogs (3-6) will now prepare for their outing against Blacksher (Uriah, AL). The Bulldogs go into the 2A Area 1 outing with a 14-2 record. In their last outing, Blacksher held off Southern Choctaw (Gilbertown, AL), 51-35, in a non-league outing.
The Panthers now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they host McKenzie for a 1A Area 3 outing on Monday, January 16. Shields will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 57-23 league loss to Red Level (Red Level, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 0-8.
