Shields Panthers (Beatrice, AL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Clarke County Bulldogs (Grove Hill, AL), 47-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shields upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Panthers host Pleasant Home (Andalusia, AL) to play the Eagles in a 1A Area 3 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-5. Pleasant Home lost 35-13 in their recent non-league bout against Straughn (Andalusia, AL)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Shields Panthers (Beatrice, AL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Clarke County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
