Georgia High School Basketball - Darlington edges Model

January 14, 2023: Rome, GA 30161

The Darlington Tigers (Rome, GA) basketball nipped the visiting Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA), 34-33 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Tigers (15-4) will now prepare for their test against Pepperell (Lindale, GA). The Dragons go into the A D1 Region 7 test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Pepperell got by Dade County (Trenton, GA), 56-44, in a league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Murray County for a AA Region 7 test on Tuesday, January 17. Model will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 63-30 league win over North Murray (Chatsworth, GA). The Indians record now stands at 12-4.
