The San Simon Longhorns topped the visiting The Gregory School Hawks basketball team by a final score of 27-17 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Longhorns face the Valley Union Blue Devils (Elfrida, AZ) in a 1A Tucson Southeast game, on Friday, January 20. San Simon will attempt to move on its 8-8 season record.

With the defeat, The Gregory School moves to 1-12 on the year. The Hawks host Ray (Kearny, AZ) to face the Bearcats in a 1A Tucson Northwest game on Tuesday, January 17. The Bearcats enter the game with a record of 5-14. Ray lost 42-23 in their recent non-league game against Duncan (Duncan, AZ)
