Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders (Central Valley, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY), 70-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monroe-Woodbury upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Crusaders host Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY) to clash with the Bushmen in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Bushmen go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Pine Bush lost 61-52 in their recent non-league bout against Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY)

Next up, the Middie Bears clash with the Kingston Tigers (Kingston, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Middletown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 53-34 non-league loss to Niskayuna (Niskayuna, NY).
