Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders (Central Valley, NY), 62-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Middletown upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Middie Bears host Warwick (Warwick, NY) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-9.

Next up, the Crusaders play the Kingston Tigers (Kingston, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 4. Monroe-Woodbury will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 70-66 non-league win over Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY).
