Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Yerington Lions (Yerington, NV), 61-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Pershing County upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to West Wendover (West Wendover, NV) to play the Wolverines in a bout on Friday, January 20. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 7-9. West Wendover won 71-29 in their recent league bout against Battle Mountain (Battle Mountain, NV)

Next up, the Lions play the Incline Highlanders (Incline Village, NV) in a bout, on Friday, January 20. Yerington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 61-33 league win over Battle Mountain (Battle Mountain, NV).
