Colorado High School Basketball - Denver Academy triumphant over Gilpin County

January 14, 2025: Black Hawk, CO 80422

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Denver Academy Mustangs (Denver, CO) and the host Gilpin County Eagles (Black Hawk, CO), observed Denver Academy's basketball team overwhelm Gilpin County by a score of 71-26.

The Mustangs (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Flatirons Academy (Westminster, CO). The Bison come into the 3A/2A/1A Mile High challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Flatirons Academy trounced Union Colony Prep (Greeley, CO), 93-53, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Union Colony Prep Timberwolves (Greeley, CO) in a 3A/2A/1A Mile High challenge, on Friday, January 17. Gilpin County will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 93-53 league loss to Flatirons Academy (Westminster, CO).
