In Tuesday's league test, the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), by a score of 72-53.

Next, the Golden Lions encounter the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, January 15. Shelby will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Chargers enter the outing with a 9-1 record after their 67-55 league loss to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC).
