The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Spring Grove Lions (Spring Grove, MN) and the host Mabel-Canton Cougars (Mabel, MN), observed Spring Grove's basketball team overwhelm Mabel-Canton by a margin of 71-33.

The Lions (5-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Lyle/Pacelli (Lyle, MN). The Athletics come into the A Section 1 challenge with a 0-13 record. In their last challenge, Lyle/Pacelli was trounced by Grand Meadow (Grand Meadow, MN), 60-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Grand Meadow Superlarks (Grand Meadow, MN) in a A Section 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Mabel-Canton will attempt to better on its 5-8 season record. The Superlarks come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 91-37 league loss to Southland (Adams, MN).
