The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Spring Grove Lions (Spring Grove, MN) and the visiting Mabel-Canton Cougars (Mabel, MN), observed Spring Grove's basketball team overwhelm Mabel-Canton by a score of 72-44.

The Lions (9-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Lyle/Pacelli (Lyle, MN). The Athletics come into the A Section 1 challenge with a 3-21 record. In their last challenge, Lyle/Pacelli was routed by Kingsland (Spring Valley, MN), 101-67, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Fillmore Central Falcons (Harmony, MN) in a A Section 1 challenge, on Thursday, February 13. Mabel-Canton will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 10-14 record after their 53-47 non-league loss to Cotter (Winona, MN).
